When communication breaks down or distance creeps in, relationship therapy can help you understand what’s happening between you — and find your way back to connection.
Most couples face
bumps in the road.
Stress, life transitions, unresolved conflict, and past experiences can quietly erode connection over time. Couples do not get stuck because they do not care. They get stuck because patterns take over.
I have worked with couples for over ten years using a developmental, attachment-based approach grounded in neuroscience, differentiation, and relational growth. I know what helps couples change — and what does not.
Real repair is possible when the work is done in a structured, supportive way.

Elizabeth M. Longsworth, LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker • Couples & Relational Therapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience working with couples and individuals navigating relationship distress, anxiety, and the impact of trauma.
My work is grounded in a developmental, attachment-based approach informed by neuroscience, differentiation, and family systems. I am trained in the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
What matters most to me is creating a steady, supportive space where people feel seen, understood, and guided. I help clients slow things down, recognize patterns that keep them stuck, and develop practical ways to regulate emotions, communicate more clearly, and move toward meaningful change.
I intentionally keep my practice focused and personal, allowing me to be fully present with the people I work with.
My work is relational, evidence-based, and trauma-informed. I integrate approaches such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Relational Life Therapy to support lasting emotional and relational change.
